Find yourself within a picture painted in a dream,
Knowing ever knowing, oh you don't know where you've been.
Voices coming and going as you wake at dawn.
You know they're telling me,
It won't be long,
Oh it won't be long,
So don't be long,
Don't be long.
Find it hard to understand the things you said to me,
I never dream of pictures so I don't know what you mean.
Voices coming and going as you wake at dawn.
You know they're telling me,
It won't be long,
Oh it won't be long,
So sing your song,
Sing your song.
You wake at dawn
Wake at dawn
Wake at dawn

Love Is The Law single (as b side) (3.31)
Details:
The opening line has echoes of The Beatles' 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'. The line "Don't be long" may be lifted from 'Blue Jay Way' by George Harrison, from the 'Magical Mystery Tour' LP (the accompanying b-side Sale Of The Century borrows heavily from 'Magical Mystery Tour'). Helme may be attempting to implant the same double meaning into the line - "Don't be long / Don't belong" - as Harrison.
