Ian Brown
As the front man with the Stone Roses, Ian Brown, above, is arguably the most influential British rock figure to emerge in the past 20 years, but he has been less successful as a solo artist. Of late he has been enjoying something of a renaissance, though: his offbeat album Music Of The Spheres mixes loops, guitars and beats with his enjoyably daft role as a self-styled indie shamen.
