This section contains analysis of every song by The Stone Roses. Every Stone Roses related song is included - for example, Redemption Song is not a Stone Roses song but there is a bootleg of Ian playing it in the Second Coming rehearsal sessions. The links in capital letters are studio and live sounds / settings and modal links to the respective song pages (also available to view in the 'Guitar' section of this site), by Steve Davidson.

Blockbuster - The Sweet; The Patrol covered this 1973 glam rock classic for their final song at South Trafford College (the band's final gig). On this song, Ian took over on vocals for the first time, with Pete Garner deputizing on the bass Ian had thrown down. After this concert, Ian sold his bass guitar for £100, bought a 1966 Lambretta J125 scooter from Braithwaite's, Stockport and joined a North Manchester scooter club.
