I Am Without Shoes is only available on the second CD of the 2CD version of The Complete Stone Roses. It is a one and a half minute section of She Bangs The Drums reversed without drums, with the guitars turned down and Reni's backing vocals turned up. The reversed vocals sound like the words 'I am without shoes' at certain points; the title possibly originates from the same section of the Bible that inspired Something Burning - 'Moses and the Burning Bush' (Exodus 3). The angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in flames of fire from within a bush, on Horeb, the mountain of God. Moses saw that while the bush was on fire, it didn't burn up and he went over to see why:
