Longsight M13

Here's your gift wrapped easter egg
You're scented like a rose
Got so many dreams
I think my head it might explode

Let stars shine on
'til the break of dawn
Let stars shine on

Seen so many happy faces
Waving back at me
Been so many places
Even rich don't ever get to see

Got ex-friends in a frenzy
Green with envy, jealous eyes
With far too many demons now
To ever exorcise

Let stars shine on
'til the break of dawn
Let stars shine on
And let her move, move like a queen
Of Longsight M13

You and I
Now we are together
Love will fly
Love will fly
We will live forever
You don't have to justify

Let stars shine on
'til the break of dawn
Let stars shine on
And let her move, move like a queen

"Here's your gift wrapped easter egg, you're scented like a rose...". For whom have the chickens come home to roost ? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Easter eggs are a popular cultural symbol of Easter; in Christianity, they symbolize the empty tomb.

Opening with looping guitars and spirited keyboard lines, a driving rhythm builds up to a rousing chorus. Longsight M13 is a vibrant opening to the Solarized LP, with a delectably amorphous synthesizer riff leading into the bridge.

The closing track of 'Axis: Bold as Love' paints a vivid picture of the spectrum of human emotion using colour as metaphor. Here, Squire is depicted in a state of feverish green-eyed jealousy.

The chorus borrows from John Lennon's 'Instant Karma'.
