I could climb every mountain
For your love is like a fountain
Let it shower down over me
Soak me to the bone yeah
Pour all over me
I'm a coming home yeah
I could climb every mountain
For your love is like a fountain
Let it shower down over me
Soak me to the bone yeah
Pour all over me
I'm a coming home yeah
I could glide across the ocean
For your love rubs like a lotion
Let it shower down over me
Soak me to the bone yeah
Pour all over me
I'm a coming home yeah
Shower down over me
I'm a coming home yeah
Pour all over me
I'm a coming home yeah
Your love is like a fountain
For your love
It's like a fountain

Ian has since said that he regrets releasing Love Like A Fountain as a single, stating that it was a poor choice. I would disagree. A modern day version of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition', this is one of the most upbeat tracks Ian has ever made. Starting on Christmas Eve after coming out of Strangeways, Ian came up with all of the song in a few days in his eight track studio.
The lyrics "I could climb every mountain....I could glide across the ocean" are minor variations of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' by Diana Ross:
In live versions, Ian was fond of going off on a tangent by repeating words ending with '-ation', copying Stevie Wonder on 'Pastime Paradise':
