Always Remember Me

The day trip over
A tangerine sun
Becomes blood red sun splashed horizon
You walked yourself into the wilderness
I wondered there did you ever guess
You'd always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me

Those were the days when
We had it all
And these are the times
I got so much more

The day trip over
A tangerine sun
Becomes blood red sunblessed horizon
You walked yourself into the wilderness
I wondered there did you ever guess
You'd always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me

Led the pack
Then off the track at the bend
We learnt that all good things do truly
Come to an end
Dippers and trippers
Paint on the walls
Those were the days friend
We had it all
And these are the times
I got so much more
Always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me
Always remember me

Details:
Always Remember Me was co-written with the Japanese artist Naoto Hiroyama, from the band Orange Range. The standout track on the LP, Always Remember Me has a melancholy, elegiac grandeur absent elsewhere, and is a fitting soundtrack to any Stone Roses slideshow. All good things do truly come to an end. With a psychedelic wall of sound production, Brown observes a lone figure - John Squire - walking into the wilderness, whilst he himself contemplates the assumed richer bounty of his own toil.
